How do I find a doctor?

What if I have an emergency?
If you have an life-threatening emergency, you should go your local hospital’s emergency department.

You will need to make an appointment to see the doctor. You can make an appointment by calling the doctor’s office. If you are nervous about your English, ask a friend or relative to help you to make the call or to go to the doctor with you. Before calling, find your health insurance card

The doctor’s office will ask for information about you. Your health insurance information (if you have insurance) is on your health insurance card.

When you call

Canceling your appointment
