Dr. Juste Munezero

Pharmacist Doctor Juste Munezero inspires refugee and immigrant students to achieve more than just a degree.

Meet 30-year-old Burundian immigrant: Rhodes scholar nominee and Fulbright scholar nominee, Dr. Juste Munezero.

Dr. Munezero’s current title is Medication Management Informaticist at the world renown #1 hospital Mayo Clinic, in Rochester Minnesota where he is the head pharmacist of the Anesthesiology and Surgery team. He completed his undergraduate work in Michigan and matriculated to Hampton University where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). After graduation, he went on to do his pgy-1 residency at Yale and lastly did his pgy-2 specialty residency at OHSU.

Dr. Munezero is always open to any questions that any refugee and/or immigrants may have about pharmacy school or any science-based field degrees.

Dr. Munezero states that knowledge and education are key. He adds, saying, “If you have the opportunity to go to school, take it! Continue to learn and do not be afraid to seek help when you need it!”
